TUPELO – Renasant President Kevin Chapman has been named the company's next CEO, and will step into the role next year.

In announcing the management succession plan of the company, Renasant's board of directors said Chapman – who has served as president and chief operating officer since May2023 – will take over for current CEO Mitch Waycaster. Chapman also will retain his current title and duties when he becomes CEO. During the next year Waycaster will work with Chapman on the leadership transition, and in May 2025, while stepping down as CEO, Waycaster will continue in his role as executive vice chairman. He has been CEO since May 2018.
